Sand fleas or fresh dead shrimp?

When surf fishing places like St George Island, how do fresh shrimp compare with sand fleas for effectiveness? thanks!

I have days where one works better than the other for pomps.

I snap off a small piece of shrimp about the size of a medium sand flea- catch as many on the shrimp as the sand flea- some times more.
