Carrabelle Dog Island Visibility

Has anyone been out between Bryson, Yamaha, and "o" tower areas and in towards shore in the last few weeks? Our trip from late July was a bust with about 5'. The end of the speargun was visible but not the speartip. October is usually good. I appreciate any information.
