cool water cobia

got the light house around 7 am to some pretty cold wind and water. the humminbird was saying 68 degrees for water temp so i knew it would be a tough day.Fished a few bars to the right and caught i little rat red then drifted with the wind to the left of the light house till we hit about 7 foot depth and caught two huge sail cats in a row. next cast my jig gets greyhounded by what i assumed to be another big cat but ended up being a 27 inch cobia. A little on the small side but it was my first cobia so it made my day. wind finally died down by about 11 so we chased around some bait pods getting busted with no luck so we headed in. and for future reference you have to keep your blue pass thing visible until you get off lighthouse road or they will pull you. i found that out the hard way today.
