November 25-Lighthouse

Had a chance to get out with my Dad today. We left the house at about 8:30, hit Jerry's, then down to the lighthouse. We launched thru the canal that was barely wider than our boat but we have figured out that we can pretty much launch anytime. One of the positives of only having a 15 foot alumacraft that floats in about 6 inches of water. Headed to the area we wanted to fish and worked some outer holes while waiting for more water to get in. Lost two nice fish at our first spot but couldn't tell what they were. Both of them ate the live menhaden we got in the canal, I was suprised to see any of them around. We headed up into our holes further in and did fairly well up there. Ended up with 16 reds, mostly puppy reds, but did manage two keepers around 22 inches. Also caught 7 or 8 trout but only one of them was a keeper at 18 inches. Released all the keepers today, gotta conserve every now and then. I was pretty suprised at the amount of boats out from the lighthouse today with the extreme low tide and windy conditions, hope everyone got into em. Thinking about hitting the St. Marks in the am. Tight lines.
