Where can I go this weekend between St. Marks and Mashes Sands and not get beat up and maybe catch a fish or two?

Yepper, Spring Creek or fish the rivers

At least in Carrabelle if you go outside the river for trout and reds, you are backing up. Spent 4 hours on the flats 2 Tuesdays ago. 2 tiny speckled trout, and 2 pinfish. Headed up the river and stopped in a 25ft hole, anchored. Put 2 lice shrimp on the bottom. Couldn't even get the Vienna's out of the can before one rod tip started bouncing. Picked up the rod and line started peeling off the reel Then the other rod tip started moving by looked like a bait stealer. Finally landed a 22" redfish! The other rod was making some serious bends but no drag being taken. As i was reeling in to check what was hooked the line started coming to the top, yes it was a very weak 20 inch speckled trout. This happened in no more than 20 minutes after I pulled the throttle back. Thought to myself, It's not going to get any better than this, and headed to the ramp.
