December 9

Was finally able to get out today. Launched at the fort at about 10 armed with 100 shrimp. Only fished two spots all day. Ended up with 15 reds, 6 trout, 9 mangrove snapper, and some other trash fish like ladyfish. Best redfish went 23 inches, that was our only keeper red. Had three keeper trout, all around 16. Brought up a sweet combo off the bottom of the St. Marks. Looks like it was a shimano reel and can't tell what kind of rod it was paired with. Send me a PM if you would like to claim it haha.

Cool fish. I'll have nightmares about that combo though. :smt104 :smt105 :smt118 :smt119

Nice catchin. If that is a Shimano it is an old one. Looks like it might be a Stradic 4000FG.

Thanks for a fishing report with extra added in.

Let us know if you have any takers on the combo.

I had a Shimano similar to that one but mine was in much better condition, think you could verify the serial number from the reel?

I lost a brand new Symetre and a 7' Compre rod, 2 years ago near the power plant. It's a bad feeling watching one go over the side in 20' + of moving water. Makes me wonder if anyone ever "caught" mine. of course after seeing that ones condition, I guess it really doesn't matter! :o

WTG on the fish!
