We will start with the bad last saturday, went out of ecofina wind blowing 25 out of the north and would not let up all day. We were the first boats out that morning and it was already low at 7:00 am ( low tide around 10) we fished shallow all day trying to stay dry and out of the wind. we end up with nothing, no shorts, no trash fish nothing. We had all we wanted by 12:30 so started to head in, and it looked like a parking lot at the mouth of the river. no not boats fishing but boats stuck all the water had left the river that morning and still had not returned. had several friends who spent 4 to 5 hours before they had enough water to get back to the boat ramp.
now the good, sorta Dad went today and him and his buddy caught their limit in a couple hours ( i had to work the reason for the sorta) they fished out of Keaton but went up to the adams beach area, all there fish came under corks in 4'. they had 1 that went a little over 21 but most were 17" to 18" nice fish.
Good luck to all fishing this weekend and be safe.
ecofina 2/25 and keaton today 3/2
