Econfina 3-25-12 afternoon

This is my first post in a long time, reason being, I haven't been to the coast in a long time. So, the wife and I had planned to head down Saturday afternoon until she was hit with a bad stomach virus Friday night. By Sunday morning she was feeling much better but still not up for a boat ride. So I called in a pinch hitter to make the trip with me.
On the water about 12:30, headed out with LOTS of wind. Started in about 5' of water and caught a few shorts. Moved in and water was really dirty. Fishing buddy lands a nice 21" trout.backed out to clearer water and put 2 slot fish in the cooler. Moved again and 2 more slot fish in the cooler. Moved again, nothing, moved and nothing. Moved again and made about three similar drifts to finish out the limit. Last fish was a 23"er.
Wind blew all day, hard. No real pattern could be found other than water depth of about 5' seemed to be the most productive.
Loaded the boat about 6:30.....great day on the water, look forward to getting back down soon.
