Navionics Fish n Chip

Post by onefishtwofish »

I just bought a handheld GPS for duck and turkey hunting. FInally updated my ancient garmin. I think Noah used one just like it when he was on the ark. Anyways, I saw the ads for the Fish n Chip and wondered if anyone has used one in a handheld. I don't venture out a whole lot from my main ports, but would it be useful when I am checking out new areas? How detailed are they? Can they really help find holes in the shallow water areas? I am not going to be doing any grouper fishing. Just interested in shelves and holes in the back water areas. Any impressions anyone? Thanks in advance.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

Ive got Bluecharts in my Garmin... its good but no better than a chart.
It really helps more in deeper water.
