Tried Striplings sausage for the first time today. It will not be my last. This is some of the best if not the best sausage I have ever eaten. They tell me that Salt Lick is the same recipe, as they used to be in partnership, not sure if this is true but I looked at each web site and Striplings is $4.39 Lb fresh link and Salt Lick is $3.99 Lb fresh link. I bought mine at the Triangle Grocery on Hwy 122 about 2 miles north of the golf course in Thomasville. They charge the same price as buying it from Striplings. I bought 5 Lbs, should have bought twenty Lbs cause this won't last through the week. Sausage dogs and  . :lick:

Salt Lick is decent but not the exact same. When their partnership ended, the salt lick folks got the old recipe. It's not the same. The best sausage I have ever had is from Carol's in Sylvester.

I also buy at Carol's in Sylvester. Both my boys like The Salt Lick sausage better. Can't tell much of a difference myself. Salt Lick might be a little better with the Jalapeno sausage.
