What's the conventional wisdom with respect to the weather change this week? Will the colder nights put a damper on the trout? I'm really looking forward to going fishing late this week. I've got a brother-in-law coming to town....and I hope to show him a good time.

Depends how long it stays cold, they have been where they are now most of the winter. So, I don't expect much to change...

I aint done so hot so far this year but I would say to go where the fish were caught this past weekend and fish deep early and move towards the shallow water as it warms up with the day They aint gonna go far with the slightly lower temps forcast

We fished Econfina Sunday morning. Left the ramp at 6:30 a.m. We were on our hole at 6:45. Air temp was 52 water temp was 65, fog so thick you could not see the end of the boat at times. Fished topwater by sound and feel because you could not see your plug. We kept 10 trout mostly 19 to 23 inches by 8:30a.m. We threw back as many more from 17 th 23. All this was in 18 inches of water. The water temp seems to be holding steady and should not be drastically affected by this cool snap. There may be fish in deeper water that come in later. But there are plenty of fish staying in the shallow water on low tide.

My thoughts are that they will stay pretty much where they can find 60-70 degree water temps. I don't pay much attention to air temp this time of year. Water temp is the key for me in early spring.
