View SE headed out of river Saturday afternoon...

First point and nice 26.5" spoon fed red while trying to ignore the horizon…

Decide to ride it out! Secure camera and head into wind. Within a couple of minutes gusts go to 40+ and waves to 3-4 and rain is in sheets and blinding. Ten minutes later the worst is over and I began course back to river in heavy rain. The only lightening appeared to be
over land so that was never an issue until I got almost back to the hill.

Methinks next time I just might pass!

It's good to experience first-hand what it is like when it's nasty out there. Gives you an idea on what to expect next time you find yourself in a similar situation. Ever seen 4-foot waves in three feet of water? It's no fun when you are in it being pounded. Put a notch in your cowling

been there in a 18ft. flats when the pump decides to quit(broken wire)bailing by hand, taken it over the bow.Yes I do belive it is possible to have 4 or higher in 3 ft of water. That little trip only cost me all electioics for a power jackplate that I had. Had fish in a cooler and it came open and we lost all but red.
