Did you splice into the vehicle harness, to add a pig tail? If it's a newer vehicle they sometimes can't handle the load and it makes the blinker relay freak out...

if so the solution is to spend $30 or so and get the adapter...Most auto parts stores carry them, walmart too....

next, make sure you have a good ground....

This is what I have found to be the case in that scenario

Heres the low down, it's a 91 S10, 4.3 ltr engine, wiring all original, have a adapter, no splices, trailer, new, Loadmast, aluminum, just got it, oh, came with a new Key West 1720 on it, any way, had same problem with old trailer, will check the grounds, thanks alot...

I'm not very adapt at automotive electrical stuff but seems like I had a situation once similar and I needed a heavier relay.

Check the ground on the trailer as well as the ground on the vehicle.

If it does it with that vehicle only check the relay as SR said. Check all the lights too....Some vehicles do that when part of the bulb dies too. But I would check ground first, vehicle and trailer, check for continuity to ground with an ohm meter

Thanks to everyone, checked the ground, was fine, then pulled the flasher out, went to the auto parts said it was the wrong flasher, put the new one in, done, works super, wished I'd done it 3 years ago...oh well
looking forward to the fishing this year..
thanks to everyone again
