Econfina 6/29/12

Post by jwnoles »

Got to the Econfina around 12:30 PM on Friday. Ended up being a little bit choppier than I had hoped having my 6 year old. So with that, I decided to stay in around 5 to 6 feet. We ended up leaving at 4:15 PM bringing home 6 trout (three 18", two 17" and one 16"). Had to toss back two pup reds (16" and 17") which stunk because I usually don't catch reds. Jake (my son) also caught a pompano (I believe) that was just over 12". But we released it because I wasn't sure if it was a pompano for sure and didn't want any trouble with the law man. All in all, had a blast. I wish all of you all a safe and happy 4th!

Yes it was really stained. Looked like a glass of Sonny's sweet tea!

nice. Probably a jack rather than a pomp. I caught a few over there Saturday.

Are those Gator Crocs I see on that happy young'un?

Nice catch, looks like he had a blast.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?
