Got to the flats around 9:30 Sunday morning. Water temp - 58. A little on the choppy side.
A few trout on live shrimp. Two 18-20" Spanish Mackerel using large Cajun Thunder and DOA red/pink shrimp. Both mac's were caught when I wasn't working the thunder but simply using as a float with the DOA hanging beneath. A little current kept it active, I suppose. Stayed within a mile south of the lighthouse the entire time. Water temp rose to 60 or so by 2:00. Smooth seas and light breeze after noon.
Not the best of fishing days but it sure felt good being out there.
