Hey number guys...I have word from a reliable source that the accuracy of the GPS has gone back to 100ft or yards compared to the prior 10ft/yds it was(sept.11 triggered it)....can anyone validate that for me? If it's true don't change your numbers fellas!

I had heard rumors that they had turned back on the SA (selective availability) after Sept. 11, but that was simply a rumor.

I ran the St. Marks Channel in the fog on a couple of recent trips and all the channel markers were right on the money and my EPE was reading about 13 feet.

SA is OFF and is expected to remain OFF. For questions about this and GPS questions in general, visit this site.

That was rumor, pure and simple. SA is off and will remain off. Well, that is unless Kai pulls the plug on us.

SA is off, however without DGPS you may still be up to 50ft off.....not too shabby.

FYI: Just purchased a Brunton MNS. Sweet unit, I would hihgly recommend it.
