First time out this month.
We had some of about everything. Morning wind out of the northwest and choppy. About noon the wind died, smooth as glass and blazing hot. The only thing cold was the bite. Then wind out of the south about as hard as the morning wind plus rain and lightening just in shore.
Came home with six trout. One caught on a top water zook spook, one on a ladyfish cut bait, one on a stinky pinky and others caught on white chart tail gulp shrimp.
Friends were scalloping. Got about twelve.
.....but, it was good to be on the water and we got a bonus....0.7 inches of rain at home! We just might want to go back today!
