A group of anglers competing at the Flaying Mako, a catch and release tournament in San Diego, witness an exceptionally hyper shark, pulling of 9 somersaults in a row. one of the guys might be under the influence of some potent hallucinogenics.

What a video...never seen a shark jump so many times....

n this video Alex Beck hooks an estimated 10 ft., 800 lbs. mako shark during a catch and release tournament. He was on the water with Captain Mark Martin, the video is by Keith Langford. Beck was competing in the apparently aptly named “Flying Mako Tournament.”

I've only had one shark tail-dance for me. I was in alligator harbor and was near the small island in the bay in 4' of water fishing with live LY's under a bobber. I got slammed by a 4' Spinner Shark. He came out of the water and did a pirouette above the water and instantly cut the line. He was short but amazingly stocky for a spinner.

Never had a hooked shark dance above the water, but when I lived in Mims/Titusville many moons ago and surfed at Playalinda Beach, I had quite a few 'spinner sharks' fly through the waves and out of the water as I carved through on my board... talk about "exciting"
