My brother and some friends caught these nice trout recently in Tangier Sound Chesapeake Bay on artificials. They released 15 more that weighed up to 5lbs. They always get some specks in the southern part of the bay during the summer and into the fall, but this year has been a banner year for both quantity and size. Global warming maybe ? Whatever is causing it, the trout seem to be finding plenty to eat up there even without there being any shrimp.

This guy got a 34" gator in the same general location.

The growth is most likely related to the effluent washing in from the D.C. area.
