had to drive to orlando and back for work today, and going through the live oak/lake city area reminded me just how lucky we are here in tallahassee. there is STILL a ton of flood water along the interstate. the suwannee river looked surprisingly normal though. i cant imagine what it was like a month ago!

There are still many roads West of the Interstate that are closed, and hundred of homes that were under water especially in the Live Qak area. Many of these homes are not in "low areas" but in an area that holds water due to surrounding properties.
