Mike's Marine Ways, St Marks

Took my flats boat to Mike's to repair a hole punched in the bottom by a submerged Lake Talquin log (was the first and LAST time I will put my boat in that lake). Talquin is a Native American word meaning "mine field". They fixed it better than new. Great work at a fair price and some of the nicest folks you can do business with.

Big thanks to Mike and crew!

They have drawn the lake down a lot, so it is like a very dangerous gauntlet to run at more than idle. :o

I agree. They do spectacular work. I highly recommend them as well.

The lake was drawn down at the request of the city, in anticipation of flooding from Isaac. It's not going any lower, but might take awhile to refill.
