Hunting A Spot

I'll be in Panama City visiting my daughter next week the 12th thru the 15th. No boat, just looking for some spots that we can get up to the water and do a little fishing or crabbing. Just old folks, and small children mostly, so needs to be easy to reach. Anyone out there got any secret spots to share with an old Veteran? Don't want to fish off public piers though.
Thanks in advance.

I thought you were going to bed early old man. You better get your beauty sleep so you won't scare all the fish.

if you are staying close enough to tyndall there is a good spot there to crab. head towards tyndall over the dupont bridge then take the first left. you'll see a gravel road, park in the grass then wade to the right. you can wade fish there but i don't have much luck there. but plenty of crabs and very shallow the farther right you go. bring bug spray

Thanks everyone. I'm staying at my daughter's house, which is out on Hwy 236. I'll check the places out when I get down there. Don't really need to be a killer fishing area, just a place I can get up to the water with my four year-old grandson, and a place the girls (wife and daughter) might can catch a crab or two. Thanks again folks.

Try Lake Powell, it is a very cool place.
