NFGFC Members who want to lend a hand...

Post by Steve Stinson »

I have had several NFGFC members contact me since our last tournament and express and interest in helping Bob replace some of the items he lost in his boating incident. I spoke with him this evening and recieved his permission to put a post on this forum.
Anyone who has the desire to help can contact me at 509-3116, or go by Kevin's and speak to Lin. Lin has offered to be the drop-off location for any donations and also mentioned that Kevin's would help contribute.

Thanks to all of you who have been contacting me and offering to help a club member who has been through a rough time.

No mention of the boat/motor and discussion never mentions boat insurance but you might suggest he call his HO insurance agent as depending on who the company is the Homeowner/Renters policy (assuming he has one) MAY cover all of the fishing gear and possibly up to $1,000 for the boat/motor. Most major carriers provide limited coverage/amounts for boats and the fishing gear is just a form of personal property, each policy is different in the perils covered so it may not cover this particular event but at least something to look into and one that many people wouldn't think of as they assume HO only covers stuff in their house.

Bud - Cash is welcomed. Either Lin or myself can take the donations.

The fiberglass jon boat and 25 hp motor that was lost was not insured.

Thanks again for all the interest and help.

Weather's funny like that. When we fished the IFA in June, we went to bed expecting 15 knot winds the next day. We ended up fishing in 30+ knot winds that morning.
