Went out to the state park yesterday hoping that the water had cleared. It hadn't - still brown and still warm. I went to the youth camp boat ramp and scratched out a small flounder, lost a small flounder and got a small yellow jack and perhaps the world record pigfish (about 12inches; I thought it was a small red at first - lots of head shaking). I tried Rattlesnake cove and may have had a strike or two but nothing definite.
Then I went over to the Gulf and picked up a nice flounder on about the 3rd cast. After that, it was leatherjacks nipping at the fly but nothing else. Used polarflash clousers bayside and a yellow craft fur and pink polar flash heavy fly in the gulf. I may try again on the new moon phase - hopefully the water will clear and cool.
