Great picture! I sure do want a motorcycle but I'm scairt. I grew up riding dirt bikes as hard as I could get them to go and drove my Yamaha Enduro all over Valdosta when I was in school there. I did get run off the road into the ditch 3 or 4 times but it being a dirt bike with blinkers I just road it back out of the ditch and gave the driver that put me there the ol sign language #1. .l..
Lately a good friend Mike in Moultrie go hit by an old guy in a truck and broke his shoulder causing a lot of damage. His shoulder will never be right. Uncle Henry, an old Harley rider his whole life, is one of the safest motorcycle drivers I've ever seen. About 6 weeks ago he was going home up in the GA mountains and it started to mist rain. He evidently hit a spot of oil or gas and his bike went out from under him. He landed on his chin then his shoulder. He wears chaps, a leather duster, and a skull cap type helmet like John has on but he broke his shoulder, knocked out a bunch of teeth, got severe road rash on his face and neck, and hit so hard he had a brain bleed. He survived and is healing but it's taking him a while to unscramble his brain. He has severe migraines and at times can't seem to keep his thoughts on track. They say he will be fine but it will take a few more months. He's lucky there wasn't more brain damage even though he was wearing a helmet.

The photo was taken at Deal's Gap, The Tail of the Dragon, North Carolina. A group of 6 spent all last week riding in the mountains.

I stayed in a cabin on the tail this summer. Sure wished that I had a bike instead of an expedition. That is an awesome ride and view!
