Red Hot Lanark!
Or should I say the redfish action is hot. We went out Saturday afternoon to catch the incoming tide. Without much time to spare, we launched the boat about 3:00 pm to hit the moving water. Leaving the ramp & entering the bay we ran into the twilight zone. To our east the sun was bright, the temp was about 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. To our west was an abyss. A thick fog bank was closing fast. I stopped to see what it was going to do and within minutes the temp dropped 15 degrees, the wind picked up another 10 mph and you could not see 10’ in front of you. Now I’ve seen fog like this in the mornings but never at 3:00 in the afternoon on a bright sunny day. We returned to the ramp to wait it out. After about 45 mins. it moved on. We took off again a made it to our first hole. We had just put our lines in the water and here come the fog again. Oh well, anchor up & fish.

The reds didn’t seem to mind the weather. We caught our limit in less than 2 hrs and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset on the trip back to the hill.
