Got a late start, launched around 8:00 AM and headed West to fish some points. Water temperature was around 62 degrees,seas flat, high tide outgoing. Came across some birds working the surface, stopped and caught and released two bluefish and a mack. Second cast at the first produced a lower slot red, released. Had two other rat reds blow up on surface plugs, but that was the end of the redfish action. Came home with two nice flounder that i picked up on jigs. Water was very clear, not much bait on the surface.
