Went out to Lake Iamonia at 1730 just in time to watch the sun go down. Pulled right up to the water's edge and fished off the tailgate.
Ended up catching 12 flatheads and what I think is a yellow bullhead. All on chicken livers.

A great end to a great day. Getting ready to make a drive to Alabama; out the door soon.

mbw: Are you sure they were flatheads or were they channel cats?

Shouldn't be any flatheads in Iamonia! Maybe channels.

They were dark, with light spots...flat head and wide mouth. They appeared to be stocked as all 12 of them were 10-12 iches long. Tail was not notched like a channel or blue. Also didnt have that "overbite" most catfish have.

Thanks for sharing.
If they looked like this:
Then they were brown bullheads.

Yep. Thats about the same size I was catching too.
There's still water out there. Enough to get a yak into. But you'd be fighting the gators back.
