I don't understand why you keep posting forecasts from a site that:

...has been operating in a degraded status since contract support for the site ended last year. In addition, the operating platform and data layers are outdated and thus are no longer reliable.

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/notification ... portal.htm

Moreover, those forecasts will no longer be available after November 30th. My apologies if that is not your source.

Because hey can not find the same forecast on the Tally NWS website. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... 2197265625

If you go to this link you can zoom in on the map where ever you want and then double click the map to get specific marine forecast.

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/om/marine/point.htm

This is the more general forecast.

I think this is pretty good site for wave prediction for the big bend area.

Someone posted it here a while back I think.

More specifically this page: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... ype=marine

They are NOT from that site.

Good deal then b/c I will be coastal. My experience has been that the NOAA zone and point forecasts are iffy especially more than one day out.

The specific location (ie your inshore) forecasts are not accurate.

The most accurate, if we can call a NOAA forecast accurate, is the out 20NM region ones. With the exception of shelter from a certain wind direction inshore, the winds are usually the same whether offshore or inshore. The notorious afternoon sea breeze near the shore is another exception to the difference to inshore and off.
