I dont believe any of the new fj models come with a spare spool.you might get lucky on ebay or have to order one from shimano.

I can order one for you. They are a little pricey from Shimano, around $68.00

Are spools from earlier models interchangeable? There are a couple of FH spools on eBay

Unfortunately, no. The hollowed out portion in the new spools is deeper to accept the new drag clicker assembly. The older spools will not fit down on the shaft properly.

As you can see in the following pic for the old FI spool

- Old Stradic FI.png (22.6 KiB) Viewed 2994 times
the part numbered 10352, is considerably thinner than part number 14832 in the new FJ

Also the drag and clicker assemblies are different as well as the main shaft the spools sit on. There are just too many differences for them to be interchangeable.
