Anybody local here know where I can get a flint lock muzzleloader. I prefer to borrow or trade services, but would be willing to purchase if price was reasonable. I am leaving Thursday to go to Pennsylvania and am trying to hunt while there. Muzzleloading for deer opens 12/26 and my plans changed.....I am now hunting a different area than where I can get a muzzleloader there. Any help would be appreciated

Flint lock only. I'll ask about the percussion cap.

Regular hunting season is over. They open flint loader from 12/26 - 1/10....1 antlered deer per hunter, permit required. Out of state for me, $150 for license & tag :o I was going to hunt on a family farm in Western Pa (4 hours away), and use one of their guns. Instead, we are trying to hunt private property with plots known for numerous big "Keystone State" bucks. Unfortunately, no extra flint loaders for the 2 days we can hunt. I was told that if I want to go, I better find a black powder .50 cal and bring it. They'll supply the loads and rounds.

sorry Tom, percussion is as primative as my blackpowders go. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Sam here dolphinatic. My weapons ain't old enough either. 1858 .58 Cal. British Enfield. Also a percussion. Favorite rifle of the Confederacy, and a deer slayer for sure.

Thanks for the input guys. This will be a different kind of hunt for sure. Black powder rifles, snow, 3 hunting parties of 3 guys & lots of walking. All of the additional doe tags are sold out, but we can still take either 1 doe or a buck with our license. I'm gonna save mine for a buck of a lifetime and hope I don't get a misfire :-D
