slow catching weekend

From the reports i am reading about this past weekend and the weekend before I want to point out the main differences.
New moon and full moon periods are going to produce more bites and better fish. The water has to be moving in or out does not matter that much as long as it moves alot. The 3 and 4 foot tide movements are the best. This past weekend the water only moved about 1 1/2 feet and did that slowly. The low tide was still on the plus 1 side. Not conducive to lots of fish being caught. The exceptions will be about 1 hour either side of high and low tide changes. Next weekend will be a great fishing weekend, full moon and lots of tide movement. This cycle occurs and reoccurs every other week along with the moon phases. On these types of days fish frequently can be caught for hours at a time.
Watch the moon watch the tides.
