Site PM Msg System Problem

It's happened to me before but has started again. When sending a PM to a member, it sits in the outbox for days on end and does not reflect as sent in the sent folder.
I have completely deleted all old messages I have maybe 2 or 3 messages in my in box and the same in the sent box. Messages have remained in the Outbox for days and are not sent so I delete them and give up. I've reset my PM preferences and checked everything I know how to check and the problem persists. I have also HAD NEW messages in my inbox but in the control panel, NO indication or notification of a new message.

Anyone else with issues ? :oops:

The person on the RECIEVING END of a PM has a full Inbox and has to empty some of their stuff in order for your PM to go to them. I generally send an email to them or post in Off Topic that they have a full Inbox and need to clean it up :beer: :smt004

Wrong-
You know someone has read it when it shows sent

When you send a pm an email goes to the user.
It stays in the outbox until they read it.

The system is working fine- it just is dependent on the individual logging in to read it.
I'm trying to change the settings so the content of the message is delivered by email.
