A friend has a 2006 blazer bay1960 with trailer that he wants to let go me for $12,500. He said that if i don't pick it up he will list at 15,800.Boat is good condition rating of 1 to 10 it would be an 8 with 2006 115hp yamaha 4stroke. Everything is standard with a 70lb minn kota troller motor. Is it worth what he is asking for???? I don't want to over pay for it. Thanks for ur input. Gotta answer him by Wednesday

Take it to a local marine mechanic and have them check it out prior to your next step

I believe the Hull Truth . com website may have a blue book for boats. I think it is probably worth what he is offering to you for, but his other price may be a little high.
If I were you the larger questions on my mind would be:
1. Can you afford it without it putting your family in a bind?
2. Will you use it regularly?
Boats don't like to sit still for months at a time, especially with today's ethanol fuel. If the answers to both of the questions above are "yes" then it's time t go fishin'.

Found this one, but the average retail for the boat with a 150 is $12,560

Wevans. The boat that u found he is listing it for dirt cheap. 6400 that is half price what buddy selling it for me. Something is a little fishy with that price. By the way thanks for all the input. Sound like is not really a deal. I think i will wait it out and look for myself a 150hp for the same price.

I would be VERY careful about the boat Wevans posted the link to....
Something does not sound right there...
Could be the real thing, OR could be some kind of scam.
Face to Face transactions only is the word. If it does not feel right, walk away!

But also note, that most every boat I found when looking for my boat were priced above the NADA. It tends to undervalue. A boat is worth what someone will pay. I searched long and hard to find one that was lower than NADA, but I got one and I am very happy with it. Guy just to the north of me is selling one exactly like mine, with less options and wants 5K more than I paid. He still had it last time I checked.
