Cuz, like that right hand mirror, this cold weather makes things appear smaller than they really are!

... because it was my mother-in-law's 95th birthday and I didn't want to hear about missing it until she has her 100th birthday.

Too cold, too windy, too much water. And I am sure the FWC would not out on the water to safety check my rig.

Today I did go fishing with Don around the turkey point area and ended up with a nice one of these

We saw a couple nice reds but the cold weather and 20-25 knot wind had em full of the old lock jaw! The extended forecast looks like we have some warm weather headed our way next weekend!

It was too cold and windy so I went to the Boat show at the Fairgrounds and was drooling over this boat...
I really liked those "flotation pods" hanging off the stern. Fred said they keep the stern "on-top" of the water (like trim tabs) so there is little or no drag getting out of the hole.
They also serve as a ladder if you go scalloping, or get up in the skinny and climb out of the boat.
Talked with Fred Morgan at Big Bend Marine and he said they could work with me on the price....
The boat does not come with seats, rod holders, or a fuel tank, they'll install an 11 gallon under the console. It has 95" beam, and .125 gauge aluminum. Not sure if this is the boat for me, even with the aluminum trailer. I'll have to think about this one and see others but I think I'm headed in the right direction.

Fred is good people. I bought my boat from him and BBM does all my service. He will stand behind their work. I wouldn't buy a boat from anyone else. I hope y'all can get it hammered out. Good luck
