Fishing on the old bridge before St. George Island

My friends and I from Tallahassee went fishing today on the old bridge before the new bridge to go to St. George Island.
I frequent this bridge often for reddrum, spotted trout and whiting (often post videos of the fishing on this bridge on Youtube).
We thought the nice weather would be a sign of a good day and we had a solunar tablet that said it would be a good day.
When we arrived we noticed that the water was cloudy and dirty.
We fished from 11 am to 2 pm.
I caught one stingray and 5 little baitfish.
People who arrived before us had caught some bull redfish.
Is not the time on St George Island 1 hour behind us?
I think also the time change today also made us arrive late.
What do you think?

"What do you think?"

Any day fishing is a good day!

Some are better than others but they are all good days. To have a friend, a pretty day and time to fish makes for a wonderful day. Maybe next time you'll find the fish.

Thanks for the report.

I think all the fresh water in the bay has the fish turned off. But like SS-342 sez. Fishing any day is a great day. Maybe next time.

Yes, we did have fun.
One of my friends, it was his first time fishing, he had a light rod, he was complaining that he was feeding the fish because they kept stealing his bait, when he was about to quit, his rod bent over sharply and his reel was screaming!
He went all bright eyes!
I was guiding him what to do but even after tightening the drag and reeling some of his line in, this "thing" took off again and again, eventually the hook came out.
He looked at me and grabbed his stuff and said, " I need to get a bigger pole!" and left.

And that's what it is all about. Lighting the spark in someone and deepening their love of fishing is always an acceptable trade off. Well done!
