Redfin, Supafly and myself spent all day riding around 70 miles looking for a redfish.

We had planned to do a little nearshore fishing but decided against it after spending some time in front of the islands, nothing there but choppy waves. After checking some birds out for an hour, we ended up running to flats behind the islands, Lanark reef and Turkey Point. Didn't find anything except dirty water.

Sick of that, and in a mood to burn some fuel we ended up back in front of the islands. We weren't the only ones there this time, hauled in 6 (I think?) over slot and had about 4 come unbuttoned. By the time those wore us out the wind was blowing hard and we had a fun run back in through some nasty chop.

Awesome catch!

We were out on Saturday as well. Went 32miles off and the seas were not bad at all on the way out and on the way in. But as soon as we got inside the islands things were quite different. Nothing like a good on shore sea breeze.
