Ankyfaenna weekend...RAIN, Storms and TROUT

Plenty of fat full of roe trout on points that love a slow sinking lure of most any description. :-D Inches and inches of rain. :( Went out after lunch on Saturday hoping all the storms had passed. As Ron White so eloquently says...."I was wroooong!" :smt010 Fog very dense so it was impossible to tell direction of approaching storm and if you're thinking I did not come to the hill in time you are so correct. Lightening cracking like cheap packs of fireworks. Boat filled with water and had to hotwire bilge pump. Got in as a search party was forming to look for me!
Water is very dark and don't know temp but fish are really chilly when they emerge. Trout only....no reds except a couple of pups! Noseeums are in swarms everywhere! :x

Glad you made it in alive! Lightening is one thing I don't like while being on the water.

What depth water did you catch the trout?

Thanks for the report.

Two feet and less with very slow retrieve. No aggressive strikes but fish really put on a show when hooked. I had three very large trout follow the lure all the way to the boat but I could not entice them with figure fighting.
