PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL OPPOSING HB33
HB 33 would allow the state to give an adjacent landowner public land in lieu of dollars is that landowner puts some of their land in a Conservation Easement....
What a deal!!! The landowner only has to agree not to build houses on his land anywhere adjacent to a WMA, Water Management District land, park, state forest, etc...and the state will give him an "equivalent value" for the easement in OUR land we now have access to.....Of course the adjacent landowner can then "run his cattle" on that land and sell lucrative hunting leases...And we are SHUT OUT.
Simply state in your own words you strongly oppose HB 33 as it would give away public land paid for by the taxpayers and now freely accessed by hikers, bikers, hunters, bird watchers, campers and many others who depend on public lands for recreation.
PLEASE EMAIL TODAY (The Agriculture and Natural Resourcs Sub Committee meets at 4:30 this afternoon):
