Arrived at noon, talked to a local, nobody doing much he advised us. Was there , day off, going anyway! Fished till 5, in our case he was dead on. Two bumps on my rigs, buddy caught a short and one 16" trout. Went west to start, went in creeks, used hard bait as advised natta. Went out in 3-4 caught the two. HEADED TO MOUND, natta. Back to the west for another try, nothing doing. Called it. Water stained, looked like suwannee , Winds like forecast said. Tried Gulp, Paul brown was good for short,Popping cork with Z man, good for 16". Tried live shrimp, gulp tipped with shrimp. Fair amount of folks around for a week day. Hickory mound had quite a few on land as well. Spring break I guess.
