Mid week out of Ecky

Went out of Ecky with a couple of friends yesterday. We caught our limit of trout . The bite was steady from the start, 8:30, until the tide went high, 10:00. Tried a creek and caught a couple more trout plus one 19" red. Went back to our first area to finish the limit by 1:30. The water temp started at 64, went down to 59 then back up to 64 when we quit.
15 trout from 15 1/4 to 21", 8-10 shorts and 2 keepers released, 1 red at 19",
All trout caught on CT/Gulp combo. The best bite was on Glow, but some were caught on Nuke Chicken. Water is still coffee colored, but the fish didn't seem to mind. Fished 2'-4' all day. The red was caught on chartreuse twitchin rap.
I think if the water temp continues to climb at the current rate we are looking at a very active spring bite in the next week or two.
As a side note, we saw a high number of Ballyhoo in the water. If the water temps get up a little we will probably be seeing a lot of Spanish, Blues, and Jacks as a result.
Y'all get out and get some of those fish, they are biting!
