With some encouragement from my wife; I took yesterday afternoon off and headed south.
Hit rock landing marina about 2pm
Water was stained and a little choppy.
Tide was going to make a small drop and rise but not really a good tide. My expectations were low but I was happy to be on the water.
Got to a favorite spot in 4feet of water and bam.. First fish

Caught around 40 fish.. Lots of short trout and a few ladies.
Of course lost a really nice one at the boat
Most on a cork and gulp
But a few on top water.
Took home 5 eaters


Ready to get back out there!

Nice batch of eaters! Noticed the new hat your sporting. How long before you can get in worn in as your old one?
