So I just inherited a hand me down boat from my girlfriend's dad and after a little fiberglass, a new battery, and a new starter I am ready to take her out. I've been looking around online at what you typically catch around here ( I live in Gainesville for school and I am from Satellite Beach and I am used to fishing the Indian/ Banana rivers and the Sebastian inlet).
Anyway I came across some blog posts and threads about people catching blue crabs around here but they were all about trapping. Does anyone use a dip net to catch them. When I was in middle school we would set up on the bridge and shrimp but we would often end up with way more crabs than shrimp. If anyone catches them with a dip net, what areas are pretty good for this? I have never done it from the boat and I was always limited to the bridge.
