What a problem to have...

Well, George and I started off our Saturday morning pumped up for the start of the Rock the Dock Tournament. As most of you know it was a little chili in the morning but what a great sunrise we had!!

We started off the day trying to get into some trout out on the flats, and we definitely got into em. All of them were no smaller than 17" but most were over 20", but not the BIG BOY that we were looking for. They were all being caught on an assortment of lures from a jig under the popping cork to the top water and mirolure. No pics to show of for the trout as it was tournament day and "ain't nobody go time for that"!!
. As we were drifting the flats though I was twerking a suspending mirrolure when all of a sudden I got SLAMMED and rewarded with yet another over slot fish. This time it was a BIG RED!! (that SOB bent my quick connect and made me lose my mirrolure on the next cast
)

As the day went on the wind stayed steady so we headed in to try to get out of the wind a little. One of our spots that we have had some success at with some reds, I slammed this nice trout on a top water plug. It wasn't a tournament winner but still a nice over slot.

Well to make a long 2 days shorter the rest of our days were spent catching reds. And until late in the day on Sunday we did not have a red under or in the slot.. (what a problem to have) On both Saturday and Sunday we had double hookups (both caught on video) The reds were absolutely BLOWIN UP on the top water!! So here are some more pics of a great weekend of fishing, unfortunately not a great tournament result.
