It has sure been tough getting out lately but Friday was to be 2-3 ft. Left the dock with a couple of ladies from Chicago. They were up to anything so I headed to a spot to catch some grouper and rockies. As soon as the baits were down it was one bite right after the other. After about an hour of non-stop grouper action one lady was feeling bad. The seas were about 3 but not bad but she just couldnt handle it. We headed in and ran into a fog bank that was thick. Thanks goodness for radar. We didnt have any problem pulling into the pass where the fog lifted. We soaked bait for 2 hours without a bite-even on squid. The water temp was 58. It calmed down and they wanted to try it again so back out we went. This time we went back into the fog and dropped anchor on a spot about 7 miles out. They were waiting and the fun began again. They didnt want to take back but a couple of fish so we kept 5 that were about 26-28 inches. We released some nice ones for next time. They were happy and the day ended very nice with about 2 ft. seas and sunny. Hopefully the weather will start to calm down soon. Until next time go fishing its good for you.
