So tell me, who do yall recommend for a good insurance policy for boats ? SeaArk is about ready and at Shields and they're rigging her today. Looking for recommendations and suggestions before I start to make calls.
Thanks

I just had to make a MAJOR claim in my boat. Progressive has handled it perfectly so far. I'll let y'all know if there are any hang ups, but so far I have been more than happy. Call Patrick McKee 850-224-6055. He saved me a pile of money and cot me better coverage than my old insurance guy. He got me collision on the boat, which I didn't have, for the same price. And, man am I glad I have it. Not that you need insurance for a tank, still a great idea IMO. Good luck

I just used Allstate since that is who I have my autos and camper through. It's only $120 a year, haven't had a claim though.

My father in law made a claim thru Allstate. It went VERY poorly. That is all I will say

Hay, don't worry, I know a guy.

Really, an Insurance salesman is about the same as a used car salesman, only driven by a little ol lady to church on Sunday. hard to figure out until you need their help.

Only claim I've ever made on a boat was a lower unit a few years ago. Progressive coordinated with Parkway and they handled the without a hitch.

Thanks for all of the info! I'll make some calls tomorrow. Hopefully the boat will be ready before too long and I can splash it!

Progressive, hands down. Any of you that know me, and my history with boats, should truly trust my judgement on this one. I have had over 8 claims with Progressive ( 6 lower units, one cracked transom, and one completely totaled out boat). Progressive not only totaled the boat, but insured my new one 3 days later. Doesn't make sense to me, but they say I am a diamond member and they WILL NOT ever drop me. Anyone wanna go fishin?

BBB (Dale Tyre) has an Independent Insurance Agency. He represents Progressive and has access to many other markets to quote from. His office number is 850-385-2093. Good folks over there and they will take care of you.

F Y I .... Progressive Ins major stockholder ( to the best of my knowledge) is George Soros. Not a friend of most of our values.

Who's values? Good business is good business despite someones personal core values. In my opinion.
