How accurate are fishing forecast? I plan on going fishing with a poor fishing forecast. Should I not expect to catch anything when I do go? How do they know when or if the fish will be eating several weeks out?

I have been fishing a lot when the forecast was excellent and not caught anything. So it must be unreliable.

I have not had much luck with the forecasts. Ive been out when everyone is slaying them only to come home empty handed and caught fish when the forecast said other wise. To be honest the best time to go fishing is when your able to go fishing.

Would you rather be on the water and fish with the chance of catching nothing or be at home guaranteeing you catch nothing? If you have the chance, go.
