I know the targeted fish for this bait is sheepshead. What other fish go for these little buggers? Are there any cases where you'd remove the big pincher? Does a dead one still catch fish? I know sheepshead will hit a dead one, but how about other fish?

What's the best way to catch these little guys? I always see a ton of them going to and from the ramp at the light house.

Throw a cast net over them. One throw and you have all you need.

Under a full moon at low tide on Wakulla beach. Use a headlamp, regular broom and a dust pan and a 5 gallon bucket and about 15 minutes. You can easily gather enough to last you a year. Can be refrigerated and frozen. Great winter-time bait. ................ I would not gather them anywhere around the lighthouse, it is part of the wildlife sanctuary and the FWC will intervene if they are not busy checking boats or coolers. Just sayin...
