Found them again yesterday and they were still feeling shallow. Went out about 3pm and fished till dark. Tide was falling almost the entire time. Caught all the fish in less than four feet on jigs.

Even a couple of bonus mullet when I was trying for some mud minnows. And yes, more lady fish than you could throw a stick at...

Right at the end of the day we found fish feeding on glass minnows, crashing some on top, but could not get them to bite anything. Tried jigs and top water.

Never seen something so aggressive ignore my lure?!? I guess they were just keyed in on the small size.

When they key in on small baits like glass minnows they will usually not hit anything big. This happens a lot with Spanish mackerel. I will throw a 00 size squid spoon (like the clarkspoon, without the red bead and swivel eye). It usually does the trick for whatever is feeding on the glass minnows. I usually throw it behind a bubble float with heavy mono leader. For Mack's reel vey fast, for trout let the spoon sink below the top feeders.
