Good morning! Woke up to hear rain on the back porch metal roof here in Pelham, GA. It looks like the coast is getting it too right now. Hopefully it will blow on out out or fizzle out.

Started out this morning picking figs. The rain came before I was finished.
Wish I was fishing! No lightening or thunder heard.
We did go Tuesday at Keaton. Came home with eight good trout, and a nice spanish mac. Trout seemed to be hard to find.

I'm still in bed. Keeping a close eye on radar though. Might just give mother nature the middle finger and go anyway...as long as there's no lightning.

Taking care of Mom. She's 93 1/2 and now needs us 24/7. Killed even the idea of a break for fishing or scalloping. So i vrought her over to the house. I'm cooking a whole chicken, potatoes on the green egg (protected from the rain)...

Here you go Mr. Harms. I'm planning to call you as soon as it dries out.

Harmsway, I targeted your window... it did NOT go well.
Managed to run out completely dry in the "window" and anchor just long enough to make one cast, which did produce a mack hit so not completely skunked. Then the system that had been hanging to the west pinched us between bad stuff that had bloomed both north and south. Second scariest day I've had on the water. Thankful to God no lightning, but the gale winds at anchor offshore and the two hour wait for the wind and rain to slow enough to risk even thinking about running back in made for a long roller coaster ride I won't soon forget. Rained so hard that despite running the bilge the entire time on the way back in (through blinding rain so thick we didn't see land until we reached the tripod), the boat still peed all the way back to Lloyd, and then emptied another 10 minutes or so into Lake Kennedy once home.
Can't say enough how glad I was to have a flared bow panga. Honestly think we rode many 6s and 7s at anchor, and had the bow not been flared so high it would have been more ugly than I wish to even contemplate.
